How Do I Turn On My Microphone On My Dell Laptop
. Im a 34 yr old father medic and overall busy individual who needed a laptop for going back to finish my BS. My friend who has a 2017 XPS 15 doesnt want to upgrade because of the lack of type-A ports and the smaller battery too for the 15in.
Dell basically went XPS 15 2-in-1 the 9575 on their newer XPS 15 and 17. As stated in the initial post i am using a Razer Kraken headset which has a microphone attached. I and my local techie have spent hours on trying to resolve this issue on my laptop an Inspiron 15 without success.
As a temporary fix we have done the option of disabling the microphone and using my c510 Logitech webcam which works fine but totally inconvenient to carry around.

When you use Skype select preferences then audio video then select the laptop microphone as the audio input device that you wish to use.
