The term Nordic countries found mainstream use after the advent of Foreningen NordenThe term is derived indirectly from the local term Norden used in the Scandinavian languages which means The Northern lands. Thats a good point but I think more people will find the list under Scandinavian than Nordic Countries and I dont want to cut any of the countries out.
